These are the rides that will be closed at Walt Disney World in February 2026 and more upcoming closures beyond that. These closures are always subject to change.
Frozen Ever After
Frozen Ever After in EPCOT will be closing on January 2026. It does not have a reopening date yet, but Disney World’s website says it will reopen in February. This ride is getting some upgrades to the audio animatronics.
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad has been closed since January 2025 for a major refurbishment. It is expected to reopen in the spring on 2026.
Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin
Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin has been closed since August 2025 while it gets some big upgrades. It is getting new blasters, new ride vehicles, new scenes and more. It should open in the spring of 2026.
Walt Disney World Railroad Frontierland Station
The Frontierland Station of the Walt Disney World Railroad is currently closed due to construction in the land where they are adding a Pixar Cars area. It is unknown when this will reopen. For now guests can ride the railroad between Main Street and Fantasyland. Read about the new Pixar Cars land and the new rides coming here.
DINOSAUR
DINOSAUR in Animal Kingdom will permanently close on February 2nd. The last day to ride it is February 1st. They are changing this area to a Tropical Americas land. Read about more Disney World February closures that are not rides here.
Upcoming Ride Closures
Looking beyond February, Rock n Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith will close on March 2nd. It will reopen in the summer of 2026 as Rock n Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets.
