There is a lot going on at the Disneyland resort in January. You’ll want to know about these before going. This list will catch you up on all the changes coming to Disneyland in January 2025.
The End Of The Christmas Season
The last day to enjoy the Christmas holiday season at Disneyland is January 6th. Disneyland will begin taking decorations down after this and the holiday menu items will not be available anymore.
Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe Closing
Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe on Main Street USA in Disneyland is closing on January 7th. Disneyland has not announced when it will open back up.
Lunar New Year
Lunar New Year at Disneyland will be celebrated January 17th through February 16th. There will be special entertainment, music, and food.
Sweethearts Nite
Sweetheart’s Nite is an after hours event at Disneyland. It will be on January 21, 23, and 28 and February 4, 6, 9, 11, and 13.
New Stores In Downtown Disney
Disney Wonderful World of Sweets shop and Parkside Market are new shops/restaurants coming to Downtown Disney. They should be opening in January 2025.
Disneyland Monorail Is Closing
The Disneyland Monorail is closing on January 6th for maintenance. Disney has not announced when it will reopen.
Disneyland Railroad Will Close
The Disneyland Railroad is closing on January 13th for refurbishment. It does not have a reopening date yet, but Disney is hoping to have it ready for the 70th Anniversary celebration that starts in May.
Grizzly River Run Refurbishment
Grizzly River Run will close January 6th for annual maintenance and because it’s a little chilly this time of year to be going on a water ride.
Haunted Mansion Taking Down The Holiday Overlay
Haunted Mansion will close January 7-18th. This is so they can take down the Nightmare Before Christmas overlay that they do for Halloween and Christmas and change it back into the classic ride.
Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind Is Closing
Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind in California Adventure is closing January 6th and does not have a reopening date. Disney will be doing some maintenance to the ride.
It’s A Small World Closure
It’s A Small World in Fantasyland will be closing on January 21st and there is not a reopening date listed yet. The closure is so they can take down the Christmas overlay and switch it back to the normal ride.
