These are the closures at Walt Disney World Resort in October 2026. They are good to know about before your trip so you can plan around them.

Typhoon Lagoon

Typhoon Lagoon water park is currently closed for seasonal maintenance. It will likely reopen in a few months. Blizzard Beach water park is open though.

Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress

Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress is closed and has been since July 2026. It will reopen in 2027 with new scenes, new storylines, and new voices for mom and dad.

Walt Disney World Railroad

The Walt Disney World Railroad in Magic Kingdom will be closed September 28th through October 29th.

WDW Railroad Frontierland Station

The Walt Disney World Railroad Frontierland station has been closed since July 2025. This railroad station will remain closed when the rest of the railroad opens October 30th. The railroad will operate between Fantasyland and Main Street USA.

La Signature in EPCOT

Coral Reef Restaurant

Coral Reef Restaurant in EPCOT is closed for maintenance. It should reopen later in 2026.

Slush Gusher

Slush Gusher is a water slide in Blizzard Beach water park. It is currently closed, but the rest of the water park is open.

Upcoming Closures

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is closing November 1st and does not have a reopening date. It is common for Disney to close water rides in the winter to do seasonal maintenance. The Disney Skyliner will be closed January 24-30, 2027. The Disney Skyliner will also be closed January 24-February 2, 2028.
