These are all of the main things to know if you are going to The Disneyland Resort in October 2025. This includes holidays, closures, events, and more. You will want to know all of this information to properly plan your trip to Disneyland.
Oogie Boogie Bash
Oogie Boogie Bash will be on October 2, 5, 7, 9, 12, 14, 16, 19, 21, 23, 26, 28, and 31st. This is in California Adventure park. The park closes at 6pm for general admission guests on event nights.
Halloween Season
The Halloween season goes for all of October and Halloween, October 31st, is the last day to experience it. This is the last month to eat the Halloween treats, meet characters in costumes, and do all of the Halloween fun.
Fall Break
Some schools in the United States have fall break in October where they will have a few days or up to a week off of school. This can cause increased crowds in the parks since people will want to go on vacation while their kids are off from school.
Halloween Day
Halloween day is Friday October 31st. This is the last day to experience all of the Halloween offerings. Remember that adults cannot wear costumes to the park unless you are going to Oogie Boogie Bash that night.
Ride Closures
Ride closures for the month of October include Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Casey Jr. Circus Train, and Storybook Land Canal Boats. Read all about the closures for October here.
Other Closures
Other closures that are not rides include Mickey’s Philharmagic closing on October 6th, the walkway between Avengers Campus and Cars Land, and Napa Rose.
Weather
The weather in Anaheim in October is still pretty warm, even though it’s fall. Dress for warm weather and bring a sweatshirt to wear in the mornings and evenings. Check the weather before going to see if you need to dress differently and bring a poncho just in case it ends up raining.
Crowds
The crowds in October are higher than previous months. This is because of fall break and because people want to experience Halloween time during October.
Fireworks on Some Nights
Check the entertainment schedule to see what will be going on the days that you are in Disneyland. Halloween Screams will be every night at the castle. Some nights are just projections and other nights are projections with fireworks.
Some Of the 70th Celebration Continues
Some of the 70th celebration offerings have paused for the Halloween season, but others are continuing in October. This includes the Paint the Night Parade at night in Disneyland and World of Color Happiness at night in California Adventure park.
Halloween Overlays on Rides
October is your last chance for a while to go on rides that have Halloween overlays. This includes Haunted Mansion Holiday which has a Nightmare Before Christmas overlay, Mater’s Graveyard JamBOOree, Luigi’s Honkin’ Haul-o-ween, and Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark each night.
