The Holiday Season is Ending

The last day of the holiday season at The Disneyland Resort is January 7th. Starting on January 8th you will see decor come down and the holiday foods will no longer be offered.

Lower Crowds

You can expect much lower crowds in January than December had. This is more of an off time for travel to Disneyland. The weekend of Martin Luther King Jr. Day will a little bit of higher crowds since people will be off from work and school. Also, the last weekend will have a little increase in crowds due to a RunDisney event.

Rain is more likely in January than other months, but there are usually still plenty of days in January that do not see rain. Just bring a poncho and be prepared in case. Average highs around usually around 66°F and lows around 48°F. Mornings and evenings are more chilly, so be sure to bring a sweatshirt or jacket.

Wondrous Journeys is Back

The nighttime show Wondrous Journeys will return starting January 8th. There are projections on the castle and fireworks on select nights. Check the event schedule for times and details.

Paint the Night is Back

Lunar New Year

Disneyland’s Lunar New Year will go from January 23rd to February 22nd. There will be special Asian foods, Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse in Lunar New Year outfits, Mulan’s Lunar New Year Procession, and more.

Early Entry is Ending

Disneyland Early Entry is ending in 2026. The last day of it for hotel guests is January 4th. After this, guests of the Disneyland Resort hotels will have a Lightning Lane to use instead.
