Food & Wine Festival
The Food & Wine Festival is currently going on in California Adventure park. The last day of the festival is April 27th.
Ride Closures
Disneyland ride closures for the month of April are Jungle Cruise with no reopening date, The Disneyland Monorail closing 3/30, Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin closing 3/30, Toy Story Midway Mania closing 4/6, Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters closing 4/13, and Silly Symphony Swings closing on 4/27.
Other Closures
The other closures in April are the walkway between Cars Land and Avengers Campus and Pixie Hollow is closed on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Bluey’s Best Day Ever
Bluey’s Best Day Ever is a new experience in Disneyland. It is in the Fantasyland Theater.
The 70th Celebration Continues
The 70th Celebration started last year and will continue through August 9th.
Galaxy’s Edge Changes
On April 29th Galaxy’s Edge will make some big changes. It will feature characters from the first trilogy. You will be able to see Princess Leia, Han Solo, Luke Skywalker, and Darth Vader walking around.
Kylo Ren in Star Wars Launch Bay
Kylo Ren will be moving from Galaxy’s Edge to Star Wars Launch Bay on April 29th.
Hyperspace Mountain Returns
Space Mountain will change to Hyperspace Mountain where it is Star Wars themed. It will return on April 28th.
Star Wars Nite
Star Wars Nite is 4/28 and 4/30. Disneyland Park will close at 8pm on those nights.
Disney Channel Nite
Disney Channel Nite is April 12th, 14th, and 16th. Disneyland will close at 8pm on those nights.
Fireworks
Wondrous Journeys is at 9:30pm on the nights with shows. There are fireworks April 1-5, 10, 11, 17-19, 24-26th. No fireworks and just projections on April 6-9, 13, 15, 20-23, 27, and 29th. There will be no show on April 12, 14, 16, 28, and 30th.
Parades
The Celebrate Happy Cavalcade Parade is daily at 1:30 & 2:45pm. Paint the Night is every night except April 12, 14, 16, 28, and 30th.
World of Color Happiness
World of Color Happiness is every night in California Adventure at 9pm.
Other Nighttime Entertainment
Other nighttime entertainment includes Shadows of a Memory, Fire of the Rising Moons, Fantasmic, and Tapestry of Happiness.
Earth Day Celebration
Disneyland’s Earth Day Celebration will be April 20th. You can usually meet Wall-e at Pixar Place Hotel.
Eggstravaganza
Eggstravaganza goes through April 6th. This is a family friendly egg search that costs $11.99. Afterwards you return your map for a keepsake. There are locations to do this in Disneyland, California Adventure, and Downtown Disney.
Weather
Average weather at Disneyland in April is highs in the high 60s to low 70s, lows in the low 50s, and not much rain.
Crowds
Disneyland crowds in April are usually high the first half of the month because of spring break, then not as bas the rest of the month.
