9 Things To Know If You’re Going To Disneyland Between Halloween and Christmas Seasons

These are all of the major things to know if you are going to Disneyland between the Halloween and Christmas seasons. The last day to experience Halloween is October 31st and the first day of the Christmas holiday season is November 14th. So these are the things happening between November 1st and 13th that are important to note.

The Decor Will Be Switched

For the first part of November you will see Halloween decor coming down and Christmas decor going up. The castle usually starts to get snow before Halloween.

Redwood Creek Challenge Trail Closure

Redwood Creek Challenge Trail in California Adventure will be closed from November 1st through 13th. This closure is to change the area from Villains Grove to Redwood Creek Challenge Trail Welcomes Santa for the Christmas season. This will start on November 14th.

It’s A Small World Will Be Closed

It’s A Small World will be closed from October 30th through November 13th. It will reopen on November 14th as It’s A Small World Holiday for the Christmas season.

Haunted Mansion Holiday Will Remain Open

Haunted Mansion Holiday stays the same for the Halloween and Christmas seasons with its Nightmare Before Christmas overlay. This ride will remain open during the seasonal changes at the park.

Character Dining Changes

Goofy’s Kitchen’s Halloween dining will end on October 31st and this will go back to normal from November 1st through 16th. Then on November 17th the restaurant will start Christmas dining experiences.

Paint the Night is Taking a Break

Paint the Night parade is taking a break for the holiday season. The last day to see it for a while is November 9th. It is expected to come back after the holiday season.

Wondrous Journeys

Wondrous Journeys will come back for a short run. It will go from November 1st through November 13th, then on the 14th the Disneyland show will switch over to Believe…In Holiday Magic.

Shorter Hours

Starting on November 3rd, park hours will shorten. Disneyland park will begin closing at 10pm and California Adventure will close at 9pm.

Some Seasonal Foods Available

Most of the fall and Halloween eats are ending on Halloween, but some will stick around until November 13th. Holiday offerings will start after that though and stay until beginning of January.
