If you’re going to Disneyland on Independence day, then these are the things to know about the 4th of July at Disneyland. It is good to know these things ahead of time so you can prepare and decide what you want to do while there.
4th of July Fireworks

Disneyland does a special 4th of July firework show on the night of July 4th called Disney’s Celebrate America! – A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky. There will be a lot of red, white, and blue fireworks, patriotic music, and patriotic projections on the castle. The show will start at 9:35pm and will be busy.
4th of July Disney Food

Disney always does special menu items for the 4th of July. It is unknown exactly what the food will be, but in years past they have had Mickey shaped 4th of July apples and 4th of July cereal treats.
Downtown Disney 4th of July Food

Some Downtown Disney restaurants will have 4th of July menu items as well. Black Tap Craft Burgers & Shakes will have a red, white, and blue CakeShake, California Churro will have a Firecracker Churro, Paseo will have a 4th of July Dinner, Splitsville Luxury Lanes will have Liberty Lemonade, and Wetzel’s Pretzels will have Berry Bomb.
Moderate Crowds

It is hard to predict exactly what the crowds will be like, but they are expected to be moderate, possibly high. Most of the annual passes are blocked out for the holiday, but there will still be a lot of people on vacation with day passes.
Military Music Performances

On the 4th of July and throughout the weekend there will be Military performances. This is to honor Cast Members that are veterans and support the military.
Flag Retreat Ceremony

Everyday Disneyland does a Flag Retreat Ceremony to honor veterans and current members of the military. This is expected to happen at 4:15pm on the 4th of July. Guests will recite the Pledge of Allegiance and sing God Bless America.
Other Entertainment

Other entertainment that is not 4th of July specific will also be going on on the 4th of July. This includes the Paint the Night Parade, The Celebrate Happy Cavalcade, Fantasmic, Fire of the Rising Moons, Shadows of a Memory: A Skywalker Saga, and more.
