Main Street, USA is the first area you enter when you walk into Disneyland. It’s easy to bypass it all and go straight to the castle or go to where the rides are, but you’ll be missing out if you do. These are all of the best things to do on Main Street, USA in Disneyland.

Meet Characters

Main Street is a great place for meeting the classic characters like Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Pluto, and Goofy. They are near the entrance of Main Street on and off all day.

Board The Disneyland Railroad

The Disneyland Railroad is an iconic attraction and you can board it right at the beginning of Main Street. You can ride a full loop back to Main Street or you can get off at a different spot throughout the park.

Eat At Carnation Cafe

Carnation Cafe is a delicious restaurant towards the beginning of Main Street. They have classic Mickey waffles, which makes this a really fun place to get breakfast.

Ride Main Street Vehicles

Main Street Vehicles are a nostalgic way to travel down Main Street. There are different types of vehicles like an omni-bus, a horse-drawn car, a jitney, and a fire engine. You can ride them from the beginning of Main Street to the castle, or do the opposite.

Walt’s Main Street Story Tour

Walt’s Main Street Story Tour is a great way to learn all about Main Street and how Walt Disney was inspired to design it. The highlight of this is that you’ll get to go inside of Walt Disney’s apartment that he stayed in when he was at Disneyland.

The only way to go inside of Walt Disney’s apartment is to do Walt’s Main Street Story Tour, but you can still look at it from the outside. It’s right above the Fire Department. You can see Walt’s lamp lit up as a way to honor him.

Get A Locker

You can get a locker on Main Street if you need to store things there during the day that you do not want to carry around. Turn down the little alley by Market Place to find the lockers area.

Get Starbucks

You can get Starbucks right on Main Street, USA. Don’t look for Starbucks though, look for Market Place because that’s the name of Starbucks in this park.

Have A Silhouette Cutout Made

You can get a silhouette cutout of yourself or your kids made at Silhouette Studio on Main Street. It costs $12 per silhouette and an additional $20 if you want to buy a frame for it.

Minnie & Friends Breakfast in the Park

Minnie & Friends Breakfast in the Park is at the Plaza Inn restaurant at the very end of Main Street. This is the only character dining in the parks. Here you can meet Minnie Mouse and other characters and eat delicious foods like Mickey waffles, Minnie waffles, and more.

Shopping

There are a lot of shops on Main Street, USA to buy souvenirs and merchandise. The Emporium is a great place to shop because it’s huge and has a very wide selection of shirts, mugs, toys, and so much more.

Watch Parades

A lot of parades go down Main Street, so this is a great place to view them. You can check the Disneyland app for parade times.

Look For Hidden Mickeys

While you’re on Main Street you can find several hidden Mickeys as long as you know where to look. This one is at Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor. It’s in the A in the word “Floats”. See more Main Street hidden Mickeys here.

Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe

Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe is a popular restaurant at the end of Main Street. Here you can get iconic cookies, grilled cheese sandwiches, and more favorites.

Main Street Cinema

Main Street Cinema is a fun place to take a break and is a great place to go on a hot or rainy day. They play old Mickey Mouse cartoons, like Steamboat Willie in here.

Buy Christmas Merch

If you love Christmas, then Plaza Pointe is the place for you to do your shopping. They have tons of Christmas ornaments and other Christmas decor year round.

Candy Palace

Candy Palace is a fun place to visit on Main Street. Here you can get all types of candy, lollipops, cupcakes, caramel apples, and more.

Visit The Baby Care Center

The Baby Care Center is a great place to go if you have a baby or toddler. They have an area for nursing and pumping, a diaper changing area, and a vending machine where you can buy diapers, formula, and more.

First Aid

If you have any medical needs while in the park, like needing some medicine or an ice pack, First Aid is where you’ll go. It’s at the end of Main Street near the Baby Care Center.
