It was announced a few weeks ago that Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Disney World would be closing, but a reopening date had not been given at the time.
Disney often closes rides for maintenance and refurbishment to fix things, make updates, or new additions. These closures can be long or short and we don’t typically know much about opening timeframes when they close.
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is a log flume ride located in Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World.
Splash Mountain closed in January of 2023 and the ride was rethemed to the Princess and the Frog. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure opened on June 28, 2024.
Disney fans were surprised to see that this ride is already closing for maintenance since it has only been open for about 2-2.5 years. Water rides typically need more maintenance than other attractions though.
Disney usually chooses to do maintenance on the water rides in the winter since temperatures are cooler and less people want to ride when it’s cold anyway.
