Redwood Creek Challenge Trail in a fun outdoor wilderness play area in California Adventure. You can climb, swing, go down slides, and just run around here.
It’s a nice area because it has a lot of shade and is much quieter than the rest of the theme park.
This area is going to close just before the holiday season at Disneyland Resort. This closure happens every year, but now we have exact dates for the closure.

The purpose of this closure is to transform the area for the holidays and get it ready for Santa Claus.
It will be closed November 1st through 12th, then reopen on November 13th. This is a temporary closure, not a permanent one.
Also, nothing major is changing at Redwood Creek Challenge trail, they are just adding some holiday fun to the playgrounds and setting up the area where you can see Santa Claus.
When Santa’s Holiday Visit Opens
Santa will start meeting guests here on Friday November 13th, which is the first official day of the holiday season at Disneyland Resort.
There will be holiday decor, seasonal activities, photo ops, and Santa near Ahwahnee Camp Circle near the trial entrance.
Santa Is Also Moving to Toontown
Also, just a reminder that if you want to meet Santa Claus in Disneyland, his location is changing this year.
Santa will be meeting guests at Mickey’s Toontown Trolley Barn, which is near Roger Rabbit’s Car Toon Spin.
He will start meeting guests here on November 13th.
Other Current and Upcoming Disneyland Closures

There are some other current and upcoming Disneyland Resort closures to be aware of.
Inidiana Jones Adventure, Mad Tea Party, Chiller at Paradise Gardens Park, and Tomorrowland Skyline Terrace are all closed with no reopening dates.
Sailing Ship Columbia closed today and will reopen on September 25th.
it’s a small world will be closed October 30th through November 12th. It will reopen November 13th as it’s a small world Holiday.
Also, meet Tinker Bell at Pixie Hollow is currently closed on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
