18 New Rides Coming to Disney Parks Around the World

There are a lot of new rides coming to Disney Parks Around the world and this post will give you all the details on them. They are at the parks in America and some of the international parks too.

Wreck It Ralph Ride

The first ever Wreck It Ralph ride is coming to Tokyo Disneyland. It will be located in Tomorrowland. They closed their version of Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters in October 2024 and are changing it to this ride. The ride is expected to open in 2026, but does not have an exact opening date. Guests will help Ralph and Vanellope as they transform “sugar bugs” back into sweets. 

Spider-Man Roller Coaster

Shanghai Disneyland is getting a new high speed Spider-Man roller coaster. It will be located in the new Spider-Man land, near Zootopia land. It will have reverse and forward launches and track switches. The ride will be a mix of indoors and outdoors. Construction has begun on the land and the coaster, but an opening date has not yet been announced.

Frozen Ever After in Paris

Walt Disney Studios Park in Paris is changing its name to Disney Adventure World. World of Frozen will open in this park on March 29, 2026. It will feature the ride Frozen Ever After, just like in the Norway Pavilion in EPCOT at Walt Disney World. The Disney World version of this ride is closing at the end of January for about a month as it undergoes a refurbishment and gets new audio animatronics. They are changing the projection faces on the animatronics to look like the ones they have in Hong Kong.

Raiponce Tangled Spin

Disney Adventure World is getting another new ride. It will be a spinning ride, similar to Mad Tea Party at other Disney Parks. It will be covered with lanterns above you and will play music from the movie Tangled. It is expected to open on March 29, 2026.

Lion King Ride

Disney Adventure World in Paris will also be getting the world’s first Lion King themed ride. It will be a log flume ride with audio animatronics from the movie The Lion King. It will take guests through scenes of the movie and feature the iconic songs from the movie. 

Monsters, Inc. Suspension Roller Coaster

Hollywood Studios in Walt Disney World is currently building Monstropolis, a Monsters, Inc. themed land. It will feature a suspension roller coaster that takes you through the scene in the movie where Mike, Sulley, and Boo are jumping from door to door. This is the first suspension roller coaster that Disney has built.

Rock n Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets

Rock n Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith in Hollywood Studios will permanently close on March 2, 2026. They are changing the theme and making it Rock n Roller Coaster Starring Muppets. It will reopen this summer. Read about more changes coming to Disney World rides here.

Two Villains Land Attractions

Magic Kingdom is building a new Villains themed land. It will feature two attractions, but Disney has not said what the attractions will be. Some fans think there will be a Maleficent roller coaster based on the concept art.

Thrilling Cars Ride

Magic Kingdom at Disney World is also getting a new Pixar Cars themed land called Piston Peak National Park. It will have a ride that is thrilling and takes you through a rally race in the mountains.

Family Friendly Cars Ride

Piston Peak National Park will also have a family friendly ride. Hopefully this one does not have a height requirement, but more details around this attraction are unknown.

Indiana Jones Attraction

Animal Kingdom at Walt Disney World is getting an Indiana Jones attraction. It will be different from the one at Disneyland.

Encanto Attraction

Animal Kingdom is also getting a new Encanto ride. This will be in the park’s new Tropical Americas land.

The Tropical Americas Land in Animal Kingdom will also feature a Tropical Americas Carousel. It will have Eeyore, Kevin, Timon, Pumba, and more Disney characters on it.

Coco Attraction

California Adventure Park is getting a new Pixar Coco ride. It will be in Paradise Gardens Park in an area that is backstage right now. It will be a boat ride through the Land of the Dead and play the songs from the movie.

Avatar Boat Ride

California Adventure is getting an Avatar Land. It will feature an Avatar boat ride through a bioluminescent lagoon based on the movie Avatar: The Way of Water. Monsters, Inc. Mike & Sulley to the Rescue is closing to make room for the new Avatar Land.

Avengers Campus in California Adventure is currently working on a big expansion. They are building two new rides. One of them is Avengers Infinity Defense. It is said to be exhilarating, but not an intense thrill ride.

Soarin’ Around the World is changing to Soarin’ Across America at both Disney World and California Adventure. This change starts in EPCOT in Disney World on Memorial Day weekend.
