Taking a baby to Disneyland is not easy, but I’m here to tell you that it can be done. I did it and I survived!
It requires a little more planning and prep than going without kids or going with older kids does.
There are a lot of extra things to bring into the parks and you may be wondering where you’ll change diapers, where you can breastfeed, or what rides your baby can go on.
One of the biggest challenges moms have is how to store the breastmilk they pump.
I’ve pumped at Disneyland and California Adventure and had to carry my breastmilk around the rest of the day.
The best way to do this is to bring a small cooler bag or lunchbox with you. Also bring some breastmilk storage bags to put your milk in.
You’re probably wondering how you’ll keep your milk cold though and that’s where I have a cool tip for you!
Head over to first aid. You can find this in both parks. In Disneyland it’s at the end of Main Street, USA around the back, near the Baby Care Center.
In California Adventure park First Aid is very close to the entrance. It’s next to Chamber of Commerce on Buena Vista Street.
Once you’re at first aid, ask the cast member for ice for your breastmilk. They’ll have you sign a sheet, then they’ll give you a bag of ice that you can use in your cooler bag to keep your ice cold.
You cannot bring loose or dry ice into the parks, so this is a good way to get your milk on ice before it goes bad.
Also, remember that you cannot have coolers larger than 24” long x 15” wide x 18” high. You can get a great cooler bag for breastmilk here if you don’t have one!
