There are three hotels at the Disneyland Resort. They are The Disneyland Hotel, Pixar Place Hotel, and Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. These are some of the fun things you can do at the Disneyland hotels. You’ll need to stay at them for some of the activities, but not all of them.
Storyteller’s Cafe
Storyteller’s Cafe is a restaurant in Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. They have a character dining experience called Mickey’s Tales of Adventure. You can meet Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Pluto, Chip, and Dale. You do not need to stay at the hotel for this, but you do need a reservation.
Draw At Sketchpad Cafe
Sketchpad Cafe is in the Pixar Place Hotel. They have free drawing lessons on Wednesdays at 1:30pm and 2:30pm. Get a reservation for this from the front desk of any of the Disneyland hotels.
Get A Dole Whip
Dole Whips are an iconic treat in the Disney parks, but you can also get them at the Disneyland Hotel. They are available from the patio bar at Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar .
Goofy’s Kitchen
Goofy’s Kitchen is a character dining restaurant in the Disneyland Hotel. They have a buffet for breakfast, brunch, and dinner. You will meet Goofy, Minnie Mouse, Pluto, Chip, and Dale. You need a reservation for the restaurant, but do not need to stay at the hotel to eat here.
Meet Bing Bong
Bing Bong is a Pixar character from the first Inside Out movie. You can meet him walking around Pixar Place Hotel.
Spa Treatments
Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa has the Tenaya Stone Spa when you can get spa services like massages, facials, and more. You’ll want to make a reservation ahead of time for your spa treatments. You do not have to be a guest of the hotel to do this.
Fitness Classes
The Disneyland hotels offer fitness classes for the hotel guests. Some of them are themed like an Avengers class and yoga with Minnie ears. A really cool one is Yoga in the Redwood Creek, which is a yoga class at Redwood Creek Challenge Trail in California Adventure park before the park opens.
Disney Princess Breakfast Adventure
Disney Princess Breakfast Adventure is a princess themed character dining experience at Napa Rose in Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel. You’ll eat multiple courses including dessert and meet a lot of Disney princesses.
Washcloth Creations
You can learn from Cast Members how to make creations from washcloths and you’ll get to take one home with you. This is at the Disneyland Hotel on Wednesdays at 9:30am.
Enjoy The Pools
Each of the three hotels at the Disneyland Resort have really nice pools that hotel guests can swim and relax at. You can also rent a poolside cabana.
Art of the Craft Tour
Art of the Craft Tour is a free tour at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel that is available to guests of any of the three Disneyland Resort hotels. It’s a 45 minute tour of the Grand Californian.
Disneyland Hotel Tour
You can do a tour of the Disneyland Hotel that is a guided walking tour done by a Cast Member. When you check into the hotel you can ask to join an upcoming tour.
View The Fireworks
Disneyland has fireworks on select nights, usually weekends. The hotels have nice viewing areas of the fireworks shows.
