Disneyland Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is Closing
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad in Disneyland is going to be closing for refurbishment on September 2nd. It is unknown how long this closure will last or what updates they are doing on this Frontierland attraction.
Disneyland Dumbo the Flying Elephant is Closing
Dumbo the Flying Elephant in Disneyland will be closed quickly from September 16th through September 17th. It will reopen on September 18th. This is a popular Fantasyland attraction.
Pirates Lair on Tom Sawyer Island is Closing
Pirates Lair on Tom Sawyer’s Island is also closing for a short time from September 15th through September 17th. It will be open again on September 18th.
Beak And Barrel Has An Opening Date
Adventureland in Magic Kingdom in Disney World is getting a new Pirates of the Caribbean themed lounge that will be opening on August 29th.
Lilo & Stitch Disney+ Release Date
The new live-action Lilo & Stitch movie had its Disney+ release date announced this week. It will be available on the streaming platform on September 3rd.
Animal Kingdom Lodge Room Updates
Disney World announced that Animal Kingdom Lodge will be doing updates to the rooms. Kidani Village will be under construction from October 2025 until May 2026. Then Jambo House will be under construction May 2026 through January 2027.
New Discount For Disneyland Magic Key Holders
Disneyland Magic Key holders will receive 25% off Lightning Lanes in August, but the discount will go to 50% off from August 13th through 18th. These days are expected to be slower at Disneyland since it is right before Halloween time starts.
Halloween Merch Is Being Released
Disneyland and Disney World are both rolling out new Halloween merch at their stores in the parks and at Downtown Disney and Disney Springs. The pink ghost collection has been very popular.
The Disney World Halloween Foodie Guide Was Released
Disney World released their Halloween Foodie Guide for the 2025 season. It includes a new Pluto Skeleton sipper, a Mickey Mouse ghost bucket, Mickey Pumpkin soft serve, a vampire Stitch cake, Ghoulish beignets, and so much more.
