These are the changes at The Disneyland Resort in December 2025. There are not a lot this month, but they are always good to be aware of. This includes holidays, closures, and more.
Holiday Season All Month
The holiday season will run through the entire month of December and go until January 7th. This includes holiday entertainment, foods, decor, characters in Christmas outfits, holiday ride overlays, and so much more.
Increased Crowds
December is the busiest month at Disneyland, so you can definitely expect to see increased crowds this month. The crowds shouldn’t be too bad for the first part of the month, but will likely be much heavier for the week of Christmas and the week of New Year’s. This is because a lot of people are off from school and work, so they take a vacation.
Ride Closures
As of right now the only scheduled ride closure for the month of December is Indiana Jones Adventure. It will be closed December 1st through 3rd, then reopen on December 4th. Closures are always subject to change and more can be added to the list at any time.
Other Closures
Other closures to be aware of for December are the restaurant Napa Rose in The Grand Californian Hotel & Spa and the walkway that connects Cars Land to Avengers Campus.
Christmas Day
Christmas Day is on Thursday December 25th. The parks will likely be busier this day, especially in the afternoon and evening.
New Year’s Eve
New Year’s Eve is on Wednesday December 31st. This is typically known as being the busiest day of the entire year at the Disney parks. California Adventure will be open until 1am and Disneyland park will be open until 2am. They usually have live entertainment and a special fireworks show at 9pm and midnight at Disneyland.
