These are all of the changes at Disneyland Resort in October 2026. These are good to know about before your trip so you can plan around them.
Oogie Boogie Bash Ending
This is the last month of Oogie Boogie Bash. The nights with it are October 1, 4, 6, 8, 11, 13, 15, 18, 20, 22, 25, 27, 29, and 31st. California Adventure park will close at 6pm on those dates.
Last month of the Halloween season
The Halloween season started in mid-August. October is the last month for it. The last day of Halloween offerings is October 31st.
Halloween Day
Halloween day is Saturday October 31st. Expect big crowds this day. Reminder that adults cannot wear costumes in the park unless they are attending Oogie Boogie Bash.
Fall Break
Many schools in America have fall break where they have a few days or a week off of school. Some families use this time to go to Disneyland, raising crowd levels.
Higher Crowds
You can expect higher crowds in October than in September. This is due to fall break, cooler weather, and the Halloween season.
Bluey’s Best Day Ever Schedule Change
Bluey’s Best Day Ever schedule has changed. Instead of being everyday, in October the show will run Thursdays through Mondays.
Christmas Decor Popping Up
Christmas decor, especially snow on the castle, usually starts to show up around Disneyland towards the end of October.
Ride Closures
Indiana Jones Adventure and Mad Tea Party are both currently closed and neither one has a reopening date. It’s A Small World usually closes towards the end of October so they can change it to It’s A Small World Holiday. An exact date for this closure has not been announced yet though.
Other Closures
Other closures that we know about so far are Chiller at Paradise Gardens Park with no reopening date, Tomorrowland Skyline Terrace, and meet Tinker Bell at Pixie Hollow is closed Tuesdays and Thursdays.
