Destination D23 just happened at Walt Disney World in Florida over the weekend. Disney made big announcements all weekend about their parks and movies. These are the biggest Disney parks announcements from D23 in 2025.
Cinderella Castle Is Changing
The Cinderella Castle in Magic Kingdom will be changing back to its classic and original colors, which are blue, white, cream, and some gold. It was painted light pink for the Disney World 50th anniversary and has remained pink ever since. Fans are very excited that it will be changing back to its normal colors.
Arendelle In Disneyland Paris Opening
Disneyland Paris is getting an Arendelle inspired World of Frozen Land. It has been under construction for a while. Disney announced that this new land will be opening in the spring of 2026. It looks absolutely beautiful and so detailed from the sneak peeks they have given.
TRON IS Turning Red
TRON Lightcycle / Run is a roller coaster in Magic Kingdom and in the Shanghai Disney Resort. It is going to get a new overlay this fall where it will be red and play music from Nine Inch Nails. This is to celebrate the new movie Tron: Ares coming out in October.
A New Animatronic On Carousel of Progress
Carousel of Progress in Magic Kingdom is getting a new animatronic of Walt Disney himself. It is unknown when this will happen, but fans are expecting it to be pretty soon.
Villains Land Architecture
Magic Kingdom is getting a new Villains Land in the next few years. At D23 they talked about the architecture of this new land and how it is inspired by European Art Nouveau architecture.
