The Holiday Season
The holiday season officially starts at Disneyland Resort on Friday November 13th. There will be Christmas foods, merch, entertainment and more. The holiday season goes through January 6th.
Believe…In Holiday Magic Fireworks
Believe… In Holiday Magic Fireworks are back starting November 13th. They will run every night from November 13th through 30th at 9:30pm. Before that, from November 1st through 12th, Mickey’s Mix Magic with projections or fireworks will run.
A Christmas Fantasy Parade
A Christmas Fantasy Parade is back in Disneyland park starting November 13th. It will run daily at 3:15pm and 5:30pm. This Christmas parade has tons of Disney and Pixar characters, plus Santa Claus.
Handmade Candy Canes
Handmade candy canes are a long standing tradition in Disneyland and they are very popular. They will be back select days starting November 27th. Get the full schedule and details here.
World of Color – Season of Light
World of Color – Season of Light will be back in California Adventure park starting November 13th. It will run every night through the end of the month. World of Color One will be every night at 9pm from November 1st through 12th.
Other Nighttime Entertainment
Other nighttime entertainment in Disneyland park is Fantasmic, Tapestry of Happiness, Fire of the Rising Moons with fireworks, and Shadows of A Memory: A Skywakler Saga.
Christmas Overlays on Rides
There are Christmas overlays on a few rides. Haunted Mansion is Haunted Mansion Holiday for the Halloween and Christmas seasons. Starting November 13th you can experience it’s a small world holiday, Mater’s Jingle Jamboree, and Luigi’s Joy to the Whirl.
Where To Meet Santa
This year there are some changes to where you can meet Santa Claus. He will be in Mickey’s Toontown Trolley Barn, Redwood Creek Challenge Trail, and the Disney hotels.
Festival of the Holidays
Festival of the Holidays starts in California Adventure on November 13, 2026 and goes through January 6, 2027. There will be characters in holiday attire, holiday foods, and more.
Weather
The average weather at Disneyland Resort in November is highs in the 70s, lows around 50°, and rain is rare.
Crowds
You can expect lower crowds for the first half of the month, then heavier crowds the second half of the month. It will start to get crowded when the holiday season starts on November 13th and will get very crowded the week of Thanksgiving since people have a break from work and school.
Closures
There are some closures to know about. It’s A Small World will be closed October 30th through November 12th. It reopens November 13th as It’s A Small World Holiday. Redwood Creek Challenge Trail will be closed November 1st through 12th as it gets ready for Santa. Chiller at Paradise Gardens Park and Tomorrowland Skyline Terrace are both closed. Meet Tinker Bell at Pixie Hollow is closed on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Get more info on the closures and see upcoming closures here.
Thanksgiving
Thanksgiving day is Thursday November 26th. You can expect to see much higher crowds this day and the days following.
Mickey & Minnie’s Birthday
Mickey and Minnie’s birthday is November 18th. Disneyland usually has a special cavalcade parade for it.
Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live is Back
Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live is back in the Disney Theater in California Adventure starting November 1st. This is a great indoor activity and a really fun Disney Jr. show.
Holiday Character Dining
There will be holiday character dining experiences. You will need to get reservations for them. Storyteller’s Cafe has Thanksgiving Day Brunch and dinner on November 26th, Mickey’s Christmas Carol Feast November 16th through January 3rd, and Daisy’s Holiday Pajama Party November 16th through January 3rd. Goofy’s Kitchen has Thanksgiving Day dining on November 26th and Goofy’s Kitchen Celebrates the Holidays November 16th through January 3rd.
Plaza de la Familia Ends
The last day of Coco Plaza de la Familia in California Adventure park is November 2nd.
