Another Disneyland ride just closed today for maintenance. Disneyland currently has quite a few closures and just added this one to the list today.
Mad Tea Party in Fantasyland in Disneyland just closed today and Disneyland has not announced a reopening date for this attraction.
Pirates Lair on Tom Sawyer Island also closed today. This is a much shorter closure though. It is going to be closed through September 16th and reopen on September 17th.
How Long Will Mad Tea Party Be Closed?
Mad Tea Party does not have an official reopening date yet. This closure will likely be a little more lengthy than others.
The length of the refurbishment is unknown, but Disneyland’s calendar currently goes through October 26th and it still shows Mad Tea Party as a closure for that date.
This ride could definitely reopen before then. Disney often reopens attractions without much notice, so it is possible they could do that sometime in the next few weeks.
What Is Disneyland Doing to Mad Tea Party?
Disneyland has not given specific details on what they are doing to Mad Tea Party.
It is most like just repairs and maintenance rather than making any major changes to the classic ride.
What This Means for Disneyland Guests
This means that Mad Tea Party will be closed on your visit and you will not have access to the ride at all. If you want a spinning ride, you can opt for Dumbo the Flying Elephant. If you’re wanting an Alice themed ride, then head to the dark ride Alice in Wonderland instead.
Always check the closures in the app before you go for the dates you will be there to see if it reopens and what else will be closed on your trip.
