The 70th Celebration Ends
The last day of the 70th Celebration at Disneyland is August 9th. This will also be the last day of many of the 70th offerings. Some of the decor is already coming down.
World of Color Happiness Ending
World of Color Happiness was for the 70th Celebration. World of Color Happiness’ last show is on August 9th, then it changes to World of Color – ONE starting August 10th. This is a nighttime show in California Adventure.
Celebrate Happy Cavalcade Ends
The Celebrate Happy Cavalcade parade’s last day is August 9th. It will be at 1:30pm and 2:45pm on August 1st through 8th. This has been a parade with Duffy, Mickey Mouse, Princesses, and more that has been running since the start of the 70th Celebration.
Paint the Night to End
Paint the Night’s last day is August 20th. Even though this nighttime parade is here for the 70th Celebration, it will continue for a bit after the 70th ends until Halloween starts.
Fireworks Show is Changing
The last night to see Wondrous Journeys with fireworks is August 20th, then the show changes to Halloween Screams. Halloween Screams will have fireworks on weekends (Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays), and just projections Monday through Thursday.
Halloween Season Starts
The Halloween season starts on August 21st. There will be Halloween themed foods, characters in Halloween costumes on Main Street, Halloween merch, decor throughout the parks, and more.
Haunted Mansion Holiday is Coming Back
Haunted Mansion Holiday will be back starting August 21st. This is where the rides gets a Nightmare Before Christmas overlay.
Mickey and Friends Halloween Cavalcade Starts
The Halloween parade Mickey & Friends Halloween Cavalcade starts on August 21st. This is a cute, short parade with villains and classic characters in costumes.
Oogie Boogie Bash Starts
Oogie Boogie Bash starts on August 18th. It will also be August 20, 23, 25, 27, and 30th. This is a separate ticketed event in California Adventure. That park will close at 6pm on those nights.
Haunted Mansion Hatbox Ghost Popcorn Bucket
The Haunted Mansion Hatbox Ghost Popcorn Bucket is coming to Disneyland on August 13th. It will be available at Harbour Galley, Hungry Bear Barbecue Jamboree, Popcorn cart in Frontierland, Popcorn cart in New Orleans Square, Popcorn cart at Grizzly Peak Airfield, and Popcorn cart near Carthay Circle Restaurant.
Sorcerer Apprentice Mickey Cake Pop
Sorcerer Apprentice Mickey Cake Pop will be available starting August 13th. You can get it at Candy Palace, Trolley Treats, and Wonderful World of Sweets.
D23 Day at Disneyland
D23 Day at Disneyland is August 13th, right before D23 at the Anaheim Convention Center August 14th through 16th. They will have Disney Jr. Let’s Play! Party in DCA 8/13, then in Downtown Disney 8/14-16. The Disney Legends Cavalcade in Disneyland is 8/13 at 1:30pm.
Ride Closures
Ride closures this month are Haunted Mansion Closed 8/8-20 and Silly Symphony Swings Reopening date TBA.
Other Closures
Other closures in August are Meet Tinker Bell at Pixie Hollow Closed Tuesdays & Thursdays, Frontierland Shootin’ Exposition Reopening date TBA, Chiller at Paradise Gardens Park Reopening date TBA, Walkway between Avengers Campus & Cars Land, and Main Street Cinema Closing 8/10 Reopening date TBA.
