These are all of the Disneyland ride closures in January 2026 to know about. These are always subject to change and more can be added at any time. Most of them are for refurbishment.
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance

Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance is closing on January 20th. It does not have a reopening date and is unknown if this closure will last weeks or months. This ride has been open for about 6 years with no big refurbishment closures, so it likely needs some maintenance and updates done to it.
Haunted Mansion Holiday

Haunted Mansion Holiday is closing on January 12th, so that last day to go on it is January 11th. It will reopen on January 23rd as the classic version of the ride.
Mark Twain Riverboat

Mark Twain Riverboat in Disneyland will be closed January 12th through 15th. This is a short closure.
It’s A Small World Holiday

It’s A Small World Holiday in Disneyland is closing January 26th. It does not have a reopening date yet, but will likely be closed for 1-2 weeks. This closure is just to change the ride from the holiday version back to the classic version.
Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind

Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind is a cute ride in Pixar Pier in California Adventure. It will be closed from January 5th through January 22nd for maintenance.
The Incredicoaster

The Incredicoaster in California Adventure is closing on January 5th and does not have a reopening date listed yet. Guests have been reporting lately that the ride is down a lot, so this will be good for the ride to have some maintenance done on it.
Grizzly River Run

Grizzly River Run is a river rapids ride in California Adventure park. It will be closing on January 5th for seasonal maintenance. This happens yearly and usually opens around the beginning of March, but it doesn’t have a reopening date yet.
Upcoming Ride Closures

Monsters, Inc. Mike & Sulley to the Rescue is permanently closing in early 2026. Disneyland has not given an exact date for this closure yet. This closure comes as they get ready to build an Avatar Land here. Read more about this land and other new lands coming to Disney Parks here.
