Disney World’s Anniversary
Walt Disney World’s 55th anniversary is on October 1st. Magic Kingdom opened October 1, 1971. Also, EPCOT opened October 1, 1982.
Halloween Time Goes All Month
Halloween time at Disney World goes all month. This includes Halloween merch, decor in the parks, foods, and more. The last day of the Halloween season is October 31st.
Halloween Day
Halloween day is Saturday October 31st. Children can wear costumes in the parks, but adults can only wear costumes to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.
Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend
There’s a runDisney event this month. The Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend is October 23rd through 26th. Crowds will be higher this weekend.
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is October 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 9, 13, 15, 16, 18, 22, 23, 25, 27, 29 and 31st. Magic Kingdom will close at 6pm on those nights.
Parades
Magic Kingdom has two parades this month. Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade is daily at 2pm. Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away is on non-Halloween party nights at varying times, so check the schedule.
Fireworks
Magic Kingdom has Happily Ever After fireworks on nights without Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. They have Disney’s Not-So-Spooky Spectacular on nights with the Halloween Party.
Luminous the Symphony of Us
EPCOT has Luminous the Symphony of Us every night at 9pm.
Hollywood Studios Nighttime Entertainment
Hollywood Studios has Fantasmic, Wonderful World of Animation, and Disney Movie Magic every night. Check the schedule for the times of these shows on the nights you are wanting to see them.
Fall Break
Fall break runs through October. This means kids have a break from school, so you can expect an increase in crowds.

Eat to the Beat Concert Series
Eat to the Beat Concert Series is part of the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival. Concerts are every night through November 16th at 5:30 PM, 6:45 PM and 8:00 PM in the America Gardens Theatre. Check the schedule to see who is performing.
Ride Closures
The ride closures in October are Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress reopening sometime in 2027, the Walt Disney World Railroad closed 9/28-10/29, and the WDW Railroad Frontierland Station closed all month.
Other Closures
Other closures in October are Typhoon Lagoon, Slush Gusher at Blizzard Beach, La Signature, and Coral Reef Restaurant in EPCOT.
