If you’re going on a Disney World vacation soon, then you’ll want to make sure you have some important things done and ready to go. These are the things to do one month before your Disney World trip.
Download The My Disney Experience App
When going to Disney World you’ll need the My Disney Experience App. This is where you’ll get ride wait times, place mobile orders, look at your Photo Pass pictures, and more.
Check Ride Closures
Lookup which rides will be closed during your vacation. Most or all of them should be announced about 30 days in advance, but it’s good to check again closer to your vacation too.
Write Down Your Disney App Login
Write down your login info so you know it in case you need to login again while in the parks. You don’t want to waste time resetting your password while you’re there.
Make Dining Reservations
You can make dining reservations 60 days in advance, but if you haven’t done them yet, then you definitely want to get them now. Some restaurants book up quickly, like character dining ones.
Break In Your New Shoes
If you’re going to wear new shoes on your trip, start breaking them in now so you don’t get blisters and have problems at Disney World.
Look At The Theme Park Hours
Check the hours for the parks on the days you’ll be in them so you aren’t surprised by the hours when you get there. There are certain days parks close early for After Hours events.
Check The Entertainment Schedule
Look in the app to see what entertainment will be going on while you’re there and decide what you’re hoping to see. This can be fireworks, parades, shows, and more.
Make A Packing List
Write out everything you need and want to pack for your vacation so you’re prepared when it’s time to pack. This will also help you see which items you’ll need that you don’t have yet.
Go For Walks
The amount of walking you do in a day at Disney World is crazy. You’ll want to be prepared for this, so start going on daily walks now.
Buy Items You Need
Don’t forget to buy items you’ll need for your trip like toiletries, ponchos, Disney shirts, and new shoes.
Arrange Transportation
If you haven’t figured out transportation for all parts of your trip, then it’s time to finalize that. If you still need to book a flight, do that ASAP and arrange airport transportation too.
Online Check-in
For guests staying at one of the Disney World resorts, you can do online check-in. You can do this in person when you get there if you prefer that though.
Research Lightning Lanes and Virtual Queues
Lightning Lanes and Virtual Queues are available for certain Disney World rides. It’s good to research which ones and learn about them if you aren’t familiar with how they work.
Brush Up On The Rules
If you aren’t familiar with the rules, then it’s a good time to learn about them. It’s good to know what you can and can’t bring into the parks so you don’t have any problems at security.
Get A DAS Pass If You Need One
DAS stands for Disability Access Pass. If you or anyone in your group needs one, you can do a virtual call to set it up and see if you qualify. You can do this 30 days before your trip and it will be ready in the app for you.
