Disneyland is such a fun place to go, especially if you’ve been before and know what you’re doing. If you haven’t been before, some people might notice you do these giveaways it’s your first time in Disneyland. No worries though, we’ve all been first-timers at some point.
You Wore The Wrong Shoes
You walk a ton at Disneyland and need to wear comfortable walking shoes so your feet don’t hurt. You don’t want to wear brand new shoes either, so break in your shoes before going.
You Try To Do It All
Disneyland has two parks, Disneyland and California Adventure. There is so much to do in each park that it’s hard to do it all in one trip, especially if you only have one day in each park. Make a list prioritizing the things you want to do the most and work your way down from there.
You Didn’t Check The Calendar
It’s good to check event calendars before booking your trip. Some days are much busier and have extra events going on. This can even cause the parks to close early, like for Oogie Boogie Bash. You should also check what rides will be closed so you can plan ahead with that too.
You Aren’t Prepared For The Weather
Definitely check the weather before going on your trip to see if it’s going to rain, and be hot, or cold. You should bring a poncho or rain jacket if it shows rain so you don’t have to buy a poncho there.
You Don’t Mobile Order
You can mobile order from a lot of Disneyland restaurants on your phone. Mobile ordering opens in the morning. This is nice because you do not have to wait in line for food, you just go pick it up when it’s ready.
You Use A Map
People who go to the parks often do not need maps to get around because they have it all memorized. Study the maps a little before going so you don’t spend too much time trying to figure out where everything is.
You Don’t Know How To Use The Disneyland App
You have to use the Disneyland app a ton when you’re in the parks because it has your park tickets and it’s where you check wait times, mobile order, use Lightning Lanes, and more. Look around the app before your trip to get a little familiar with it.
You Chose A Hotel That’s Not Within Walking Distance
Having a hotel within walking distance is great because you can get to the parks pretty quickly and don’t have to pay for transportation or parking. The Disney hotels are all within walking distance, but they are pricey. A lot of the hotels on South Harbor Blvd are very close and more affordable.
You Didn’t Make Dining Reservations
You need a dining reservation to eat at a lot of the table service restaurants in the parks and for character dining. You can make reservations 60 days in advance.
You Didn’t Bring A Phone Charger
You’ll want to have a portable phone charger because of how much you’ll be using your phone to do things in the app and take pictures and videos to remember your vacation. Bring your own to save a little money, or you can get them in the parks.
