Disneyland in California is a classic place to take family vacations. Disneyland is always adding new things, making changes, and having fun celebrations. This list has the changes coming to Disneyland in 2025.
Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration
This summer Disneyland will be turning 70 years old and they’re having a big celebration for it. The Disneyland 70th celebration will start on May 16, 2025. It will go through summer until the Halloween celebration starts.
Bluey Is Coming
Bluey and Bingo will be coming to Disneyland in early 2025. This should include meet n greets with the characters from the beloved children’s show.
Red Car Trolley Is Permanently Closing
The Red Car Trolley in California Adventure park will be permanently closing on February 9th. So if you want to get one last ride in, you’ll need to go by February 8th to do so.
Avengers Campus Expansion
Avengers Campus in California Adventure is expanding and will be adding 2 new rides. The new rides are Avengers: Infinity Defense and Stark Flight Lab. Construction on these will begin sometime in 2025.
90s Nite
90s Nite is only happening for two nights- March 4th and March 6th. There will be special parades and meet and greets with characters from Disney 90s movies, like The Lion King and Mulan.
After Hours Events Are Back
A lot of the After Hours events that Disneyland has done in the past are back in 2025. Sweethearts Nite is in January and February, Pride Nite is in June, and Oogie Boogie Bash is in August, September, and October.
New Shops At Downtown Disney
Downtown Disney is getting some new shops that should open in January 2025. They are the Disney Wonderful World of Sweets shop and Parkside Market.
Halloween Starts in August
The dates for Halloween time at Disneyland in 2025 are August 22nd through October 31st. The Mickey pumpkin will be on Main Street along with other decor, seasonal menu items, characters in Halloween outfits/costumes, and a nighttime firework show.
The Christmas Season Starts in November
The Christmas Holiday season is set to run from November 14th through January 7, 2026. This usually comes with Christmas decorations, seasonal foods, holiday parades, and more.
Construction On The New Coco Ride
Disney has said that construction for the new Coco themed boat ride attraction will start in 2026. It’s possible it could start earlier though, and they might need to close other things or sections of the park in 2025 to get the area ready for the construction on the Coco ride.
