Test track is the fastest ride in all of Walt Disney World! It is also the fastest Disney ride and the fastest ride at EPCOT.
You’ll create your own virtual car, then get into a 6 passenger car to test it out on the test track.
It will go through different tests, like climates and turns, rough terrain, then lastly is the speed test where you’ll get up to 65 miles per hour!
It was surprising to me that this ride is faster than the roller coasters on this list since this one isn’t really a roller coaster and isn’t fast the whole way through.
It really does get fast and so exhilarating during the speed test though!
After you ride it, you will find out how well the car you designed did on the test track.
This ride is not scary and is not too intense for most Disney visitors.

This roller coaster is one of the most fun Disney World rides! I thought it was the fastest and coolest attraction ever as a kid.
The Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster max speed is a whopping 57 mph!
They blast Aerosmith’s hit music (like Sweet Emotion and Dude Looks Like A Lady) on the ride which sets a super fun and high energy vibe.
It has a super fast launch and is pretty fast the whole way through.
The ride is pretty wild and goes upside down. It has one corkscrew and two rollover loops.
This is the only ride at Disney World that goes upside down! That’s why the height requirement is higher than most rides.
You’ll board a super-stretch limo and ride around Los Angeles. You have to go fast to make it to the Aerosmith concert in time.
This is a great ride to rope drop since the line gets long quickly.

There are a few things on this ride that could be scary for certain young riders. This includes darkness, loud noises, fast drops, and creature effects.

This Toy Story themed ride is so cute!

Even though it’s a Toy Story ride, it’s not just for kids. It’s quite thrilling!

Top Speed: 39 mph
Theme Park: Hollywood Studios
Land: Sunset Boulevard

This is one of my favorite rides in any of the Disney parks! You’ll board the elevator of the Hollywood Tower Hotel.
The elevator will take you to the top of the hotel, then you’ll drop 13 stories down!
This ride feels super fast since you’re falling down rather than being pushed forward like on a roller coaster.
It actually uses cables that pull you down rather than just falling. That’s how they were able to make it so fast.
This ride has fast, sudden drops. It is also in an enclosed space.
It is based off the TV show The Twilight Zone.

This roller coaster is based on the movie Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs. You’ll board a train and be taken through a diamond mine.
The train cars you ride in sway from side to side which adds an extra fun and unique element to the ride.
You’ll see beautiful jewels the Seven Dwarfs whistling while they work.
It is a smooth roller coaster that goes through twists and turns. It’s super cute since it’s theme is so recognizable to Disney lovers.

Top Speed: 27 mph
Theme Park: Magic Kingdom
Land: Tomorrowland
Height Requirement: 44″
Genie+: Yes
Individual Lightning Lane: No
Single Rider Line: Yes
Opening Year: 1975
If you’ve been wanting to know how fast does Space Mountain go, the answer is 27 mph. I would have thought that Space Mountain would be much higher on this list!
I think the Space Mountain speed feels so much faster than it is because it’s dark and you don’t always know what to expect with it. There are also parts of the ride that blow wind on you. The Walt Disney Company is so creative!
It is an indoor roller coaster that is in complete darkness. You board a rocket and take it through the galaxy.
You’ll be able to see stars, satellites, and meteors. That’s really all you can see with how dark the ride is though.
The ride zips around, has quick turns, and some drops. Nothing too crazy though.

If you’ve been wondering what are the fastest rides at Disney World, then now you know! The Disney World ride speeds are surprising to a lot of people including me.
Whether you’re wanting a fast ride that is crazy or one that is less intense, there’s a ride for everyone on this list.
