Are you getting ready for your Disney World vacation?
Staying at a Disney hotel is super exciting. It’s magical and unlike other hotels in the area.
Before you go, it’s good to be aware of these Disney World hotel rules. This will help you know what to expect and keep you from getting into any trouble during your stay.
1. No Balloons Allowed at AKL
Balloons are really fun for kids and definitely add to the magic of a day at a Disney park.
You should be aware though, balloons are not allowed at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge. So if you’re staying there, it’s best to not buy balloons at all.
If you’re not staying there, but are just going to walk around or grab dinner, you still can’t bring your balloons.
This is to protect the animals on the property. You should also know that balloons are not sold at Disney’s Animal Kingdom park and you cannot bring previously purchased balloons in either. This also goes for the Disney water parks.
2. Balcony Rules
Hanging things from your balcony is prohibited at Disney hotels.
You cannot use your balcony to hand wet swimsuits, towels, or anything else.
Disney does not like how this looks. It takes away from the aesthetic of the properties, so they do not allow it.
You’ll want to hang items up in your bathroom instead to avoid any trouble.

3. No Glass Allowed
Glass containers are a big no-no at Disney Resort hotels, except for tiny ones like baby food jars. Be extra careful with those though.
This rule is in place to ensure everyone’s safety, allowing you to relax without worrying over potential accidents.
4. Bicycle Areas
While bikes are welcome, they’re only permitted in designated areas. Before going on a cycling ride, check that your hotel has areas for biking.
5. Quiet Time
Disney World Resort hotels have designated quiet hours from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM daily, so keep noise levels in check during these times.
6. Pet Safety
Certain Disney hotels are pet-friendly, but be sure to adhere to the rule, keeping your pet leashed or harnessed when outside your room for everyone’s safety.
7. Service Animal Rules
If you have a service animal, familiarize yourself with the guidelines to ensure a safe and comfortable stay for both you and your furry friend.
8. Keep Walkways Clear
Blocking walkways or common areas is a major no no. Always keep paths clear to allow smooth navigation for fellow guests.
This is something we can all appreciate!
9. Say No To Pool Noodles
While a dip in the pool is amazing and relaxing, leave your pool noodles at home. Only Coast Guard-approved floats are permitted, ensuring safety for all the swimmers.
10. Wagon Restrictions
While wagons might seem convenient for transporting gear or little ones, they’re not permitted within Disney World premises.
Stick to strollers so you don’t have any problems, and check the stroller requirements before you go to make sure your stroller is approved.
