I love Disney and I really love cats, so what’s better than Disney cats? In this post I’m going to list out some of the most memorable Disney cats and tell you a little about them, including what movie they’re from.
In this list I only included Disney cats from animated films, so I didn’t include some other Disney cats, like Thackery Binx from Hocus Pocus.
The Aristocats
There are so many cats in the movie Aristocats! The animated film came out in 1970. The kittens are named Berlioz, Marie, and Toulouse. Their mama is Duchess and Thomas O’Malley is a feral cat who falls in love with Duchess.
He becomes kind of like a father to the kittens. Other cats in this movie are Scat Cat, Shun Gon, Hit Cat, Peppo, and Billy Boss.

The Cheshire Cat
The Cheshire Cat is from the animated film Alice in Wonderland that came out in 1951. I love how this cat is pink and purple striped. Alice meets the Cheshire Cat when she falls down the Rabbit Hole. He has a huge smile that is a little eerie.
Dinah
Dinah is Alice’s kitten in Alice In Wonderland. She is only in the movie before Alice falls down the rabbit hole and again at the end. She’s a really cute and sweet kitten.
Figaro
Figaro is a favorite in our house! Figaro is Geppetto’s pet in the movie Pinocchio from 1940. He is also Minnie Mouse’s cat in some different animated shorts. My daughter is obsessed with Minnie Mouse, so of course she also loves Figaro!
Walt Disney loved Figaro so much in Pinocchio, so he made him Minnie’s kitten because he wanted to see more Figaro.
Giddeon
Giddeon is also in the movie Pinocchio. He’s a bad character in it and is linked up with Honest John, the fox. He’s not super memorable and doesn’t talk.
Lucifer
Lucifer is from the movie Cinderella that came out in 1950. Lucifer belongs to Lady Tremaine, Cinderella’s evil step mother. Lucifer is a big cat who is mean and mischievous. He is not on Cinderella’s side.
Oliver
Oliver is the orange kitty in Oliver And Company that came out in 1988. He is an orphan with an adventurous life, but ends up getting adopted by a rich girl.

Sergeant Tibbs
101 Dalmatians came out in 1961 and it surprisingly has a cat in it! The cat is names Sergeant Tibbs. He’s friends with Perdita and Pongo and helps them find their missing puppies.
Si and Am
Si and Am are twin Siamese cats from the movie Lady And The Tramp. It came out in 1955. They are always together and are mean cats. I can’t think about them and get their song “We Are Siamese If You Please” stuck in my head!
Yzma
Yzma is the evil lady in The Emperor’s New Groove, which came out in 2000. She’s not a cat until the end of the movie, and she’s the one who turns herself into a cat.
Tigger
Tigger is one of my all-time favorite Disney cat characters! He’s super fun, lovable, and full of energy. He may not be the first Disney cat you think of, but he’s a tiger, which still qualifies him as a cat so he’s being included on this Disney animals list. He’s from Winnie The Pooh.
Raja
Raja is also a tiger. He’s Jasmine’s pet tiger in the movie Aladdin from 1992. He guards and protects her.
Mochi
Mochi is a cat in Big Hero 6 from 2014. His owner is Aunt Cass. He’s a Japanese Bobtail cat who is really round and fluffy. Isn’t Mochi such a cute name for a cat? I love it!
Mittens
Even though Bolt is about a dog, there is a cat in the movie named Mittens. The movie came out in 2008. She’s a scruffy black and white cat who meets up with Bolt, the dog.
Bagheera
Bagheera is a black panther in The Jungle book that came out in 1967. He protects Mowgli, aka Man-Cub, and is his friend.
Shere Kahn
Shere Kahn is a tiger in the movie The Jungle Book. He’s the bad guy.
The Lion King
The Lion King came out in 1994. There are tons of cats aka lions in this movie. No surprise based on the name, right? Some of the lions in this movie are Simba, Nala, Scar, Mufasa, and Sarabi.
The Lion King 2
The Lion King 2 came out in 1998 and introduced more lions, the main one being Kiara. She is Simba and Nala’s daughter. The movie also has other lions named Zira, Nuka, and Vitoni.
Felicia
Felicia is a cat in The Great Mouse Detective from 1986. She’s plump and all she wants to do is catch mice and eat them. She belongs to Professor Ratigan.
Rufus
Rufus is from The Rescuers, which came out in 1977. He is an older cat in the orphanage and loves Penny.
Sabor
Sabor is a leopard in the movie Tarzan. It came out in 1999. He is the antagonist of the film. He killed both of Tarzan’s parents.
Snowball
Snowball is a cat in Hercules from 1997. He doesn’t have a big or memorable part, but he is caught in a fire.
King Richard and Prince John
King Richard and Prince John are lions and brothers in the movie Robin Hood.
Mayor Leodore Lionheart
Mayor Lionheart is from Zootopia which came out in 2016. If you haven’t been able to gather this, he’s the mayor of Zootopia and is a lion.
Clawhauser
Clawhauser is also from the movie Zootopia. He’s a cheetah and he runs the front desk at the Police Department.
